Natalie Isaacs – 1 Million Women
The founder and CEO of 1 Million Women, a global movement of 950,000 women (and counting) who are fighting the climate crisis by changing the way we live. Natalie’s climate journey from apathy to real action cuts through complexity and delivers a simple message that resonates with women and girls of all ages and that goes to the heart and soul of what 1 Million Women is all about. A cosmetics manufacturer before founding 1Million Women. In 2006 Natalie realised that individual action is a key solution to solving the climate crisis and that women are the game changers. So Natalie decided to leave behind the over-packaged world of skincare and set out to create an organisation that inspires and empowers women to act. In March 2019 1MW won a global people’s choice award. In 2013 1MW received an award from the United Nations for their work. In 2017 Natalie won Australian Geographics Conservationist of the Year. Her book ‘Every woman’s guide to saving the planet’s published by Harper Collins, is a major success.
