Rebecca Scott – STREAT

Rebecca (Bec) Scott is the Co-founder and CEO of STREAT, a Melbourne-based social enterprise that works with marginalised young people aged 16-24 years and provides them with a healthy self, job and home. STREAT run a portfolio of 11 foodservice businesses, including cafes, an artisan bakery, a catering company, and a coffee roastery. To date, STREAT has worked with over 2,200 young people who have helped serve over 3 million customers. STREAT has always been passionate about creating impact for People + Planet and in its second decade will focus on creating more ‘green collar jobs’ for their young people into urban horticulture. At the start of the pandemic Bec instigated Moving Feast, a collective of social enterprises working together towards a fair and regenerative food system. To date this collective have made over  120,000 culturally appropriate meals and food boxes, and started harvesting over 100,000 food plants regeneratively grown during the crisis. Every Saturday you’ll find Bec in her family’s own urban food garden with her wife Kate (the Farmhand), their son Will (Apprentice Urban Farmer) and their dog Magic (the Farmhound).
